Audiovisual Media
Video and audio media are important components for the sustainable and contemporary dissemination of knowledge – including in health communication and prevention. Their creation requires not only specialist knowledge but also extensive media studies expertise – also for the optimal integration of audiovisual media into overarching campaigns, interventions, and communication measures.
The department K 2 at the Federal Institute of Public Health develops and produces TV/cinema and radio spots for current campaigns, in addition to feature and documentary films, as well as audio media, for prevention and health promotion. The range of topics includes information concerning HIV/STI education, not smoking and drug prevention, sex education and family planning, the health of children and young people, the health of elder people, infection protection and other health topics. The audiovisual media are intended for use by the general population as well as by professionals in kindergartens, youth work, school and adult education and as well as by parents and persons having parental power. Some of the audiovisual mediums are published with accompanying materials and suggestions for work, which can be downloaded as PDF files.
